Marium Fayaz is persuing Masters Degree in Gender Studies from University of Kashmir. She did her Bachelor's from Govt Womens's College MA Road Srinagar. As a sociology student and studying Gender issues at Post graduation level, she has studied the gender based bias that has been a major hurdle in ensuring sustainable economic development, social justice and peace of course. She has been a consulting editor for Kashmir Convener motivating the staff especially reporters to report about gender issues especially Violence against Women as such issues are getting least coverage across the sub continent with JK getting critically low coverage owing to other political issues due to which social issues like these get a back seat. She has also interacted with victims of gender based violence of various forms from different communities belonging to families of diverse social and economic status. She is a strong decision maker and complex problem solver. Above all she is a good listener.
